DMCA Policy

MCPEDL.GG respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

If you are a copyright owner and believe that content on MCPEDL.GG infringes your rights, this page explains the formal process to submit a DMCA takedown notice.

Filing a DMCA Notice

To file a valid DMCA takedown notice, send a written communication to the email address below that includes all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works are involved).
  3. The exact URL on MCPEDL.GG of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail to allow us to locate the content.
  4. Your contact information — full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.

Notices missing any of the six elements above may be considered invalid under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) and may not result in removal.

Where to Send the Notice

Send your DMCA notice to:

[email protected]

Include “DMCA” or “Copyright” in the subject line.

Response Time

MCPEDL.GG reviews DMCA notices within 2–5 business days.

If a notice is valid and complete, we will remove or disable access to the affected content and notify the user or author who submitted it, where applicable.

Counter-Notice

If you are the author of removed content and believe it was taken down by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice.

A valid counter-notice must include:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or — if your address is outside the United States — for any judicial district in which MCPEDL.GG may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.

Send counter-notices to the same email address: [email protected] with “DMCA Counter-Notice” in the subject line.

Once a valid counter-notice is received, MCPEDL.GG forwards it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, the removed content may be restored.

Repeat Infringers

MCPEDL.GG maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the access of users or content contributors who are repeat infringers.

False Claims

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly makes a material misrepresentation that content is infringing — or that it was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorney’s fees.

Please consider this carefully before filing a notice or counter-notice.
